What should I bring with me?

  • A soft towel for your baby to lie on on top of the yoga mat.

  • A yoga mat (if you are attending a Penylan course, mats are provided.)

  • Your massage oil - a 50ml bottle of organic sunflower oil is provided as part of your course. Please bring this each week. You can bring your own choice of oil if you'd prefer, but please email rubabubbabies@gmail.com so that we can advise which oils are not suitable.

  • A baby blanket

  • If attending a Penylan course, please bring baby in a carrier or car seat as there is no space for prams. For other courses, prams are welcome.

How long is the course?

The course is 5 weeks and will cover full-body baby massage, focusing on a different part of the body each week and bringing these together in week 5.

Each week you will be massaging your baby and having a relaxing hour together, so we do suggest that you repeat your course to perfect your massage techniques and continue those precious bonding experiences!

How old should my baby be?

You can bring your baby any time between birth and 18 months.

What if my baby is fussing/hungry/needs a nappy change?

We are a baby-centric class, so the babies are the bosses! Please feel free to feed or change your baby during the class. If baby is fussing and doesn't want to be massaged, that's OK! You can learn the techniques in class and then use the parent hand-out to practice them at home.

What if my baby has additional medical needs?

If your baby has any additional needs that you think we need to know about, please email rubabubbabies@gmail.com.

Although I am a Nurse, I am working as a baby massage instructor in this capacity so I am unable to advise on whether your baby can take part. If you are unsure, please check with your baby's healthcare professional.
